Presbyterian Women
The Presbyterian Women are actively involved in the life of The Village Church. There are various Bible studies and a number of general meetings with special speakers throughout the year. A highlight each year is the Christmas Tea.
A major ministry of the Presbyterian Women is The Thrift Shop located at 799 Southwood in Incline Village. The Thrift Shop is open 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays, their phone number is (775) 831-3902. This Thrift Shop is managed and run almost exclusively by volunteers. The proceeds from this ministry activity are used to assist ministries sharing Christ in our Northern Nevada area and around the world. Around $100,000 (Yes, $100,000!) is donated to various ministries sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. Presbyterian Women provide ministry support for YoungLife, refugee ministry in Fresno, the Four Square and the Episcopal churches in Incline Village, Tahoe Women Services, Children’s Cabinet, our Deacon’s Fund, Hispanic ministries through our church, Wyclif Bible Translators, Disaster Relief, improvements at our church such as new pew Bibles and choir chairs, Prison Fellowship, and our church’s general fund. Contributions of clothing and other items to the Thrift Shop allows for this significant assistance to ministries here and around the world as they share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
