What to expect on Sunday mornings.
When you come to church on Sunday morning at either of our two services,
you will experience a joy-filled, honest and powerful experience. Here
are a few insights about the particular services:
8:00 A.M. This service
is relational and intimate. It is a service that offers traditional music and
hymns. The service generally ends by 8:45 a.m. allowing for an early "tee
time," flat water for
skiing or "first tracks" on the slopes.
10:00 A.M. This is our larger service, with Sunday
School for infants through high school youth. Parents, you can be
assured that the classroom approach is lively and dynamic, with activities
that are designed to communicate timeless truth in a creative way. Simply
ask them where to take your children and they will help you out. This
service has the same message as the 8:00, but also offers the newest of contemporary
worship music, along with traditional hymns, vocal and bell choirs, children's
messages, and a greater use of audio and video media. Our 10:00 a.m. service
is generally around seventy-five minutes in length. Nursery care is available
and provided by our experienced and background checked staff. Coffee, punch
and cookies are available following this service in our Fireside Room.
Summer Worship in our Chapel in the Pines. Between the Fourth of July and
Labor Day weekend, our 10:00 a.m. worship service is held in our outdoor Chapel
in the Pines. The Chapel is located on the church campus between the church
building and the Mount Rose Highway (Highway 431). It is best to park along
Mount Rose Highway and walk to the Chapel. Join in worshipping outdoors in
God's creation. Sunglasses, hats and Hawaiian print outfits are the appropriate
dress for outdoor worship. Following worship, we gather at our Fireside Room
Patio for ice cream, various toppings and conversation.
